After an 8hr bus trip from Khao San Road, we've finally arrived at Chumporn where we will board a speedboat at 7am. From here we will make a stop at Koh Tao before heading through to Koh Phangan.

A well deserved break

So I'm on holiday for the next week. The school holidays are 3 weeks long, but we only get 2 weeks off and since I only started in August I only get one week.

So far we've spent the weekend in Bangkok partying and hanging out with friends. The theme for Friday's Big NOB was Masquerade Brigade. I had a cute pink and white panda mask and Danie (my fiancé who arrived in Thailand last Saturday) had a hollow mask from the anime Bleach. Pics to follow soon.

On Saturday we went to Blu-O Rhythm and Bowl in Ekkamai for a few games of pool and Guitar Hero with some friends, followed by a chilled hangout at our friend Duyen's apartment.

Today we decided to hit the Chatuchak Weekend Market and are now relaxing at Volk Bar before heading to The Rock Bar next door for dinner.

Next up is a trip to Koh Pangan, an island off the southern tip of Thailand, for the Full Moon Party. The island has its own website and has about 4 different parties a month.

For now I'm simply enjoying my time off and trying to get as much out of it as possible.

For the love of rice!

My favourite Thai dessert. Sweet sticky rice with coconut cream. The dessert is wrapped up in a banana leaf to form convenient little parcels.
