Goodbye AJ!
Me, Danie and Shannyn seeing off our new South African friend, AJ, who is flying to South Africa tomorrow. We decided to end off the evening at Immortal Bar with some pork ribs.
Immortal Bar
A metal bar near Victory Monument. The drinks are reasonably priced, the music's good and the owner speaks good English. He's the frontman of Carnivore, a Thai death-metal band.

Club Culture
This club plays a variety of dance music including, but not limited to House, Drum & Base and Dubstep. The club is near the Democracy Monument. It was Dubstep night when we went to check it out, which was unfortunate.

The Waterpark
With waterslides of doom! None of the girls escaped the perverse experience of being undressed by the pool on impact.
And up we go...
First you get FLUNG all the way up, then you get dropped down about half way, then pulled up again and dropped a bit a few times before getting to the bottom again.
Up, up and away...
The sky was dotted with thousands of lanterns on NYE as people were lauching them from the beach. You could purchase a lantern for B100 and launch it yourself.

Happy Birthday to Me!
The start to my birthday festivities included a walk through the beach market while we made our way to Pattaya's famous Walking Street. Once there I was presented with this beautiful rose from Danie.
We then proceeded to AngelWitch, one of the many go-go bars in Walking Street, for a show. AngelWitch is unique in the sense that it has a choreographed show every hour with good music and interesting costumes. We recently visited its Bangkok counterpart in Nana Plaza.
I decided to call it a night after the show as I was feeling a bit tired, but the festivities will continue today with a trip to Jom Tien beach and the amusement park there.

Happy New Year!!!
Taken from the pier in Pattaya South. It doesn't quite do it justice, but the fireworks display was absolutely spectacular!
